At just fifteen, Kyle Drakard emerged as a rising star, gaining recognition as a session musician for renowned local artists like
Mro. Paul Abela. His remarkable abilities secured him a coveted position as the lead guitarist in major productions like ‘Gensna,’ garnering widespread acclaim within the vibrant Maltese music community.

2015
Innovative Ventures
At seventeen, Kyle Drakard made a significant impact by founding the groundbreaking Maltese Punk Jazz ensemble, ‘The Ranch.’ Their debut album, ‘Cuckoo Island,’ stands as a testament to their innovative approach. Following his departure from ‘The Ranch,’ Kyle’s musical journey evolved with the inception of ‘PlaKard,’ a Progressive Jazz Rock outfit. Surprising audiences by taking up the drums, Kyle and his band-mates created waves with their album ‘Jump The Fence,’ resonating not only in Malta but also during their successful tour across Portugal and Spain.

Tribali and International Success
Teaming up with the acclaimed Maltese group Tribali, Kyle Drakard demonstrated his versatility by showcasing his talents on guitars, sitar, percussion, and vocals. The band’s global footprint includes captivating performances at prestigious events like the Byron Bay Bluesfest in Australia and the iconic Glastonbury Festival in England. Presently, Kyle’s substantial contributions are shaping Tribali’s highly anticipated fifth album.

London Adventure and Collaborations
In 2022, Kyle Drakard ventured to London, overcoming obstacles to seize opportunities in jam sessions throughout the city. Notably, he collaborated in a jam session alongside the globally renowned bassist Tom Driessler and graced the stage at the prestigious ‘We Out Here Festival‘ in Cambridge as part of Cassius Cobbson’s Band.
